Tomorrow is Stomp Out The Gap day

Did you know the latest stats show there is still a vast gap between education outcomes of non-Indigenous children compared to Indigenous children, and even worse for children living in remote communities?

We can change this, but we need your help.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 6 June, is our annual Stomp Out The Gap day. We invite all schools and workplaces around Australia to join us on this day to learn more about their local Indigenous culture, whilst raising vital funds to help 'Stomp Out The Gap' once and for all.

All registered schools will receive a set of free Teacher Resources, designed to give teachers the confidence and ease to teach students about their local Indigenous culture.

All funds raised will go to Cathy Freeman Foundation education programs for Indigenous students in remote communities.

Your support will help us continue to:

  • Work one on one with students in the classroom, building confidence and goal setting skills

  • Support students through to Year 12 completion

  • Provide classroom and teacher resources that encourage and track attendance and other goals

  • Provide programs in community delivered by Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island staff.

It's not too late - you can still register your school or workplace.

Visit www.stompoutthegap.org.au to register and start fundraising today.
