5 September, 2017 Current Location: Julia Creek, Queensland

Andrew Cannon AM is now in Julia Creek and has so far covered a total distance of over 5,500km since departing from Melbourne on the 7th of August, 2017.

Over the next few days Andrew will make his way to Hughenden and then to Townsville over the weekend where he'll catch the barge to Palm Island with the vintage Vauxhall.

Palm Island is a significant stop in Andrew's itinerary as it was the first community partnership created with the Foundation whilst Andrew was Founding Chairman 10 years ago.

The trip to Palm will be a wonderful way to celebrate and acknowledge a very successful partnership with the Palm Island community. Andrew will participate in Starting Block Award activities and spend time in classrooms and meeting with local stakeholders.

By making a donation to the Cathy Freeman Foundation, you too can join Andrew in the car and be part of the Cathy Freeman Foundation journey. This once in a lifetime opportunity is open to anyone who makes a minimum donation of $1500. No matter how big or small, every donation makes a difference and will go towards continuing our life-changing education programs in remote communities across Australia.

If you are interested in joining Andrew on this epic journey, please contact us on 03 9686 4813 or alternatively you can make a donation here.
